Eff-1, we need people like you to have kids to balance out the fuckers like me.
As for making friends when you get older, it's definitely different. Sometimes you make friends through work (although you have to be careful with that), hobbies, or through mutual friends, but all of that definitely slows down as you get older.
I find too that when you're younger you have more patience to deal with personality deficiencies in your group of friends/acquittances, as you get older you have less of an appetite for that, and thus your circle grows smaller.
It's almost like dating when you're older. People become more calcified in their views and personalities. .
You might meet someone new you start to hang out with through work, or through another friend and realize after a while they have major issues you simply don't want to deal with, I've have that happen a number of times over the years.
