His answer was essentially what we all know, they don't have the authority to take away someone's license. They can make a recommendation to ICBC, but there's a process behind that, but unfortunately police aren't in the authority to revoke someone's license due to mental health issues.

I wouldn't expect it to be the cops doing it, I imagine it'd be similar to the process for seniors
