Which bodyshop? Can they show you why they think it needs replacement? If there's a warranted cause then I would agree cause a damaged battery may still work, but it would be a ticking time bomb. This isn't a gas car with a dented footwell we are talking about.

This may also very well be true. There's good parts on that car and they can fix many more other Teslas. ICBC is pretty shrewd.
