You don't really get anything + plus you still have to pay monthly for membership fees. But in HK it's all very common, it's a prestige thing and scarcity thing.
I'm pretty certain Badhobz's fams membership is corporate, meaning it can be transferred down to him once the old man lists him as a company director etc. A lot of these memberships have hefty transfership fees. Meaning you usually can't treat them as an investment and sell out for money.
