It seems the weirdo ultra rich have no other means of showing off, so they gatekeep weird things like golf clubs, yacht clubs, and venues. Last year they even had this temple festival at the Tsz Shan Monastery. All the social elites were invited and they blocked off access for regular people just so these wackos can....worship early? or in peace?
I met a whole bunch of TVB idiots that I don't even know, but my wife was like this is sooo and soo. I'm like so? and they were all shocked cuz they thought I would know who they are.
I just wanna go down temple street and have some chicken...

The only thing that I can think some of the ultra rich in HK do that has some value to society are their annual donations to charity foundations. The wealthy in Hong Kong do donate money to assist charities. Charities that help seniors with housing and healthcare needs for example.
Unfortunately, that's when the TVB big whigs need to create annual TV programs to show a bunch of rich men or women carry big cheques to show how much money they donated to hospitals and charities. Then get a bunch of TVB actors, actresses to do these stunts or lip sync songs while dancing badly, or hire some third string singers to perform at these televised events for fundraising.
What happened to the Chinese "values" of humility and living a low profile life? Uber rich in HK need to show off their generous donations on TV now by holding big cheques and wear their fancy clothes in order to validate their lifestyle and look good to their peers? It's become a competition of who can donate the most money among some rich people?
Some of the rich have great taste in exotic cars though. I'll give them that compliment too haha.
