1. Considered taycan cross turismo but it’s too low to the ground and im making the old man noises getting in n out. The iX is just right, not as high as an X5 and not as low as the taycan. Plus taycan questionable reliability and porsche service prices wasnt a fan of.
2. Build quality is fantastic. Yes the exterior looks are… subjective but the interior is A+. Sunroof is electrochroamatic like a boeing 787 window, body made of carbon you can see when you open the door, zoom zoom noises composed by hans zimmer with one of the best sound system in a car I’ve experienced. Car & driver tested the iX noise level and its only 2db louder than a rolls royce cullinan, which is amazing cause the iX uses single pane windows. The greatest scam or marketing is how tesla convinced the masses their cars are luxury when you compare build quality. However tesla software and app is still #1.
3. Range is really good. BMW understates the range and I can go whistler and back or seattle and back on one charge with plenty to spare. Im excited to see bmw’s nextgen EV tech in the ix5.

What I felt as well after test driving it.
It really is a very well designed car if you don't mind the exterior, there's nothing like it in terms of interior and the airiness it provides.
I wouldn't hold your hopes up with the iX5 if they assemble it in Spartanburg. I love our X5, but damn the build quality is atrocious. The iX is made in Europe so it's not at the same level.
