I think it depends on the situation. Without a doubt, they depreciate like crazy.

The guy at the track drives the RV mostly year round (8 months out of the year.) He drives it from Toronto down to Florida and does track days across the US, so he's using it regularly. Of the 4 months it's out, he parks it at an RV park. Having said that, this guy is baller, enough to make Hehe drool with envy, so definitely not a normal situation.
