1st time hearing about this... does your typical sedan/SUV on the road all use aluminum lugnuts?

every shop you go to any shop (dealers, independents, tire shops, CT), the techs will use air or electric impact to loosen and tighten the lugnuts for efficiency purpose, no one will spend their time using an breaker bar to tighten then use a torque wrench to torque to specs, does that mean the lugnuts will inevitably fail at some point?
