I don't have any experience in either of the cars you mentioned, but I would guess that they might be European-specific features?
If stuff like this were to be found on US cars, I'm sure our southern neighbours would be flipping out big time, and Trump might even slap a tariff on all cars having these features.
(Oh wait... Trump is already slapping tariffs on cars made outside of the US...
)
