Factors statistically controlled included gender, race, age, income, and education.

The results of the analyses were quite pronounced. There was a significant difference between STEM workers and other workers in political identification. STEM workers were significantly more conservative than other workers. This significant difference remained even when including demographic and socioeconomic control variables.

Cheers,
Looking at that study it's mostly white males in engineering and math.

A Nature article in 2020 found that among surveyed U.S. scientists, 86% supported Democrat Joe Biden in the presidential election, while 8% supported Donald Trump.

Also according to trump smart people don't like him. Is he lying?
