Community mail boxes does cut down delivery time. They have been installed in certain areas for the longest time. I've seen them in areas in Burnaby and Surrey. Just that those who are currently getting mail delivered to their door are upset that they have to adjust

Door to door delivery to houses and apartments does take a lot of time considering we deliver mail, flyers and packages to the address. Unlike other couriers that just do packages only.

Letter carries hate delivery to houses with gates and staircases just to get to the mailbox by the front door or walking down a 20+ apartment building to deliver to each suite.

It makes sense to cut those to save on time, just means that routes will be shorter which means people will be cut/laid off and that is what the union doesn't like for it to happen.
