In the end, it doesn’t concern me. I’m in a position that in the worst case scenario, I pack up the bags and go. But it just saddens me that Canada has come to this. Where people and our government care more about their face than what’s actually good for people.
Having experienced a safer environment or rather feeling safe for the first time since the 2010 Olympics recently, I'd be considering a move as well. I could care less about HK's problems with the CCP, at least it feels safe and they can actually see a damn doctor when they need to. Hell one of my friends who moved to HK, 9 years ago, mentioned that the easiest way to spot a Westerner/European is to watch how protective they are over their bags LOL. For ref, the airport bus has a specific area for luggage, but us Westerners/Europeans prefer to keep it in between our legs lol. Hell I didn't even realize I was hyper active about my surroundings until buddy pointed it out and I walked like an hour in the middle of the night checking over my shoulders for nothing.

Channeling my inner HondaRacer, Vancouver (in general) is so unsafe that I accidentally did my laundry and touristy roamed around in the largest brothel district in Osaka and western Japan LOL. Yeah, it felt grungy, rundown and almost sketchy with the locals staring you down and you feel obviously out of place, but nothing like Vancouver on a regular basis. I didn't know this was a legitimately sketchy neighborhood till I told a Japanese bartender who said "I'm Japanese and I would NEVER venture into that area"

Not what I'm saying and you guys know that's not what I'm saying lol. Ok, so it is an insignificant portion of that group, why isn't our government doing anything about it? That screams like threats of terrorism to me.. but OH NOOOO WE DONT WANNA BE RACIST WAH
