BIC totally did not see those kids sewing soccer balls for Nike and putting together my Uniqlo t-shirts nor did he see the concentration camps for the Uyghurs where the Chinese are systematically committing genocide.
It's easy for tourist to visit a place and think things are great in those places. It's the same when old timers think things were better in the old days. I'm sure there's lot of good stuff in China nowadays compared to when I went 20+ years ago - my parents always rave about it but there's plenty you don't get to see if you don't actually live there long-term.
BTW: Does anyone know which Scandinavian country Honda ended up moving to?
