This is what you want, assuming its 1/2 pex X 1/2 FIP and not MIP
Unthread brass piece
Cut off just past the pex crimp on red
Thread on new sharkbite with t tape and preferably dope
Push on red onto sharkbite assuming you have enough pipe to push on
