The Last showgirl
Pamela Anderson sort of left acting and the then agent rejected the script within two hours. It wasn't until director (not too famous) DM's her son and got her the script and she loved it. It's true what Pam. A says, when you're in bathing suits all your life, people don't usually give you good scripts.

Story is about a show girl dancing for 30+ years and the show is stopping / cancelled. That's pretty much it. How does a retired 50+ yr old 1 show type girl deal with stress, singleness, divorced and game over in vegas.

Pamela was a perfect cast and it stays true to herself; super relatable honestly. You're getting old and you're no longer getting any spot light. It's legit and real problem.

In real world, this is similar to what all show girl / actress has to deal with. Some of course do better than other. The character did not do well which made the movie good to watch. The problem was how to wrap up the movie which I did not like. Ending just ends without finding any resolution giving anyone a good wrap up.

Side note, Dave Bautista played well and so did Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee played super well being an extremely aged woman trying to keep it all in. Very well done. Then we had Dave B and I did really enjoy his ensemble; yes it's fake hair but it really well done on how his character was. Yes he can't act and he's quiet and it fit right in.

Well worth a watch, just said it didn't pack a punch of an ending. Very good climax just crap follow up.

Remember Anora - best movie of the year i think is 2024. This just shows a movie about escort / entertainment business doesn't need to bare it all. The last showgirl did just that - I don't even think you even see Pam A. naked and that's perfectly ok.
