The phrase "flying is safer than driving" only applies to airlines, general aviation like the cessna has the same fatality rate as motorcycles.

So like time honoured tradition, rich have ways to get out of the tax but the average joe saving up for his dream car has to pay the luxury tax. It's unfair at this point and get rid of it all together and not keep taxing cars. I'm surprised the dealers and manufacturers lobbying efforts wasnt enough.
