With close friends, I would have imagined that most guys would at least know some dirt about each other's SO. It's a similar thing with some inlaws too, I'd imagine. You maintain a cordial relationship with them.

No one’s made of stone. I’ll keep the peace, but if I’ve lost respect for someone the relationship we have won’t be the same moving forward until it’s mended. I also am not gonna hold an unnecessary grudge for eternity but when it’s someone who’s become a close friend as the partner of a close friend cracks in that respect will show even if it’s just showing through a new awkwardness or silence.
