what movie is this? Christian Swegal directed and wrote this and it's based on a real story back in 2010. Was it epic.. meh. Was acting great.. well Nick Offerman (parks and rec) was more of a huge stretch role for him and he did pull it off well. Now the other supporting cast was Jacob Tremblay (he played the kid in ROOM - Brie Larson's kidnapped inside a room; he was also in Wonder (Julia roberts movie)) Well, he played a child who followed along side of his dad.

The acting part with Dennis Quaid all worked together well. What problem I had with the film was I thought it was an action movie LOL. So despite it wasn't, I knew it was a weird movie ocne I realized the plot.

It's about dad / family / cult of poeple who don't believe they are real humans. They are not goverened by the law. SO these people challenge the courts and don't abide to rules. Yes. As actual educated humans, you keep watching this and you realize what is going on.. how are you so stupid.

Can't blame the dynamic, son is looking up to dad, dad is in a broken family and obviously homeschooling his kid.

Script had potential as it tied two stories together, pretty well and you alreayd see it coming. The ending action part was saving grace despite it's not supposed to be an action film.

Decent watch cause of the acting by Nick Offerman, just cringe at how weird these people are being so self absorbed. Great example would be a movie about "flat earth" or believing COVID vaccine was actual implanting cpu chip in your arm. ..
