If they are going younger, Sherwood is gone for sure. Makes no sense to re-sign him. Garland probably gone if they can find the right trade.
I'd say trade Hughes and get back whatever you can get back. Then go to EP40 and say "you won't be winning or see any playoff action anytime soon" so he might waive his NMC. Trade him, and do the same to the others boat anchors. Then just tank hard for picks and build through the draft. We still got Cootes, and our young D prospects look decent.
