I was mostly thinking from his wife's perspective where driving a Lexus is perceived as a downgrade
I'm also going by the experience of a friend's dad who went from the same X5 to a RX and regretted that decision - said the X5 was a much better car in terms of power, build quality, and creature comforts. His RX's dash also split and separated at the top seam area and didn't like how rough the engine was.
Even if his wife doesn't care about any of this, I imagine Evo still wants something at least interesting to drive during family duty.
