I bought a 2022 MT-09 in 2024 with only 500 km on it, and it’s been an absolute blast. It’s amazing both in the city and on the highway. Super nimble, really well-balanced, and the quickshifter just makes it even more fun. Added an exhaust and tune and its a whole new monster!
I also joined a group called Bikes and Coffee YVR (BNCYVR). They host weekly meetups every Wednesday all year long (winter usually turns into “cages” season), and it’s a really versatile group—lots of different bikes, backgrounds, and experience levels. It’s not focused on any one “scene” or brand, so it feels open and welcoming. I’ve met a lot of great people of all ages, and everyone gets along really well.
