imo keto is plausible if you commit to a long term lifestyle change. Unsustainable diet choice is more a willpower issue imo - it's very fucking repetitive. If you don't like eating broccoli + chicken breast every day as the BB meal plan, keto gives you a bit more flexibility, but everything does rely on MEATS, EGGS, AVOCADOS, and it gets pretty boring. And I really like eating fruits and you don't get that.

I lost 40lbs in 3 months, from 200-160. Stopped cause egg shortage due to COVID.. and I be eating 9 eggs a day lol. It's been proven that the Canadian Food Pyramid was lobbied by the wheat industry to push an eggs = bad (cholesterol) narrative. Further to this point, how the hell are eggs in everything in Japan if yOu cAnT eAt mOrE tHaN tWo eGGs.

The problem is people thinking that keto will keep the weight off forever, which obviously isn't the case. Keto is a good way to be in a caloric deficit - a defined way to meal plan and sort the madness. There's plenty of people doing keto for extended periods of time r/ketolife r/ketogains and there's definitely a lot of success stories for pre diabetic people etc.

I was eating around 1700 calories, 35% protein, 62% fat, 3% carbs, for 3 months, while also doing 5x5 Stronglifts.. it was a struggle to push through a heavy lift day sometimes (squat + bench + row / Squat + OHP + DL) and I would fail my set quite often. Tho I considered struggling/bad form with the rep as a zero count, so maybe I make it harder for myself.
Not sure what you mean by pill farming but reliance on any drug for weight loss is always going to come with some sort of adverse effects (whether short term or yet to be known effects from long term usage).

You contradicted yourself when you said keto can be long term but also that you cannot rely on it forever. Someone of your height and weight taking in only 1700 calories per day is extreme and absolutely would not be sustainable long term. I also question how accurate your calculations are if you were indeed only eating that amount because with the high calorie, high fat foods in your example, you'd be eating like a pigeon.

You've seen me in person, lowest I ever went was 1850 calories and that was already a struggle. You being taller and heavier than me taking in 150 less calories is insane imo. It doesn't surprise me at all you were struggling in the gym. I was struggling too with what I was intaking.

You mentioned lifestyle change which is true but if you ask me, it has to be in the form of something you can maintain. Otherwise it'll just be short term gains and then you'll be back on the road to plumping up (which is very human, we all do).

PS: it's not that you can't eat more than 2 eggs per day, it simply recommended you don't
