Not exactly my own car, but I just came back from LA with a 4 day rental of a 2024 Kia Forte (trim unknown.)

Basic - 10/10
Boring - 10/10
Handling - 10/10

Throttle control is a bit interesting. I can't tell if this was the GT trim with the turbo, but I highly doubt it. Every movement of the throttle pedal felt like there was a huge lag before the car gets going. That, or there really is no torque. However, when I get going from a highway entry, it picks up speed quickly almost uncontrollably.

Surprisingly, the trunk was massive. It fit two large suitcases and a few extra back packs and other stuff. As for the infotainment system, it works and it has its weird quirks like with Apple CarPlay. The system works but when you use features like navigation, the voice will either be super loud or super quiet. There was no way to adjust it. The other WTF quirk was when you go into Reverse, it shows the rear camera. But once you put it into Drive, it get stuck on it for a while before switching back to CarPlay or the infotainment system.

Otherwise, it's a basic car with basic features and basic build. Would I buy one myself? Absolutely not. But if someone just needed a car and didn't care about anything other than fill it up with gas and drive? Yes. Is it for Revscene? Probably not.

10/10
