Agreed and if my GTI didn't have 400hp and all the suspension/braking/handling mods I would drive it even less. I usually drive it when I want to have a good time AND have friends come along. As much fun as the GTI is to drive in it's current state, I still find the Miata to be way more fun and engaging despite having a lot less power.
I already have a Camry Hybrid which I'm sure will outlive me, otherwise I'd trade in the GTI for another Toyota commuter car or an EV of some sort. Problems of the first world!
