On a tangent, I was saying to my wife that now that I'm 50 that it's likely I'll have about 20 years left of healthy living left where big vacations are feasible which probably means only 20-30 trips left (at the top end). That's not a lot of trips when I think of places I want to visit/re-visit:
Japan (3-4 times)
Europe (5-6 times)
South America (1-2 times)
Australia/NZ (2-3 times)
SE Asia/Polynesian (2-3 times)
That doesn't include my bucket list stuff like going to an F1 race or LeMans or seeing other big sporting events

Your own mortality really starts coming into perspective by the time you hit 40 and 50.
You begin to count the summers left, the trips and vacations that you can still enjoy from a physical aspect, it's quite eye opening, and a little jarring, isn't it?
