i met my GF online on a free gaming site 3 months after i got Shaw internet in 1998. there were chat windows along the side of the screen so everyone in the the "room" could chat with each other. i was in a Canada room and started chatting with her while playing Keno. she was in Calgary and this went on for over a year before she flew to Vancouver to visit. she moved here in late 1999.
