TBH, $50 per person for a dinner date in this day and age isn't outrageous at all bcos that's what a half decent meal is gonna cost. And if you want something a bit nicer, that $75 range is still sort of reasonable. The problem is, I'm earning too little to sustain going on multiple dates a week at those rates.
20 years ago -- gosh that makes me sound so old -- I was taking my dates to decent dinner dates too. But then they were more like $25 - $30 per person, and I didn't have a 30 year mortgage on my back.
I'm just glad I can take my wife and kid to the food court for $10 - $15 a meal, and everybody is still OK with that LOL~
