[Traum]

Waaaay back in my university days, I had a (grad student) TA where I was pretty sure he was sleeping in his office full time. It's one thing for TAs to be stuck living in their offices bcos their professors are working them to death, but this guy just seemed like he was broke and stuck in a bad place in his life at that point. His personal hygiene was a mess, and over the course of the semester, the smell (from poor hygiene) in his office seemed to have gradually worsened.

TA offices were supposed to be shared space between the different grad students / research assistants that were assigned to that space, so I had no idea how the guy was able to hog all that space for himself. Maybe the smell just drove his other office mates out?

In Badhobz's case, if it has already been previously reported to HR, and HR didn't really do anything, I dun think there is too much more you can do about it for now. I also tend to agree with Mark that if he isn't making a mess, or stinking up the office like my old TA was, I would just let him be. But if he crosses those lines, then I would definitely go back to HR and press them on doing something about it.
