yeah when it comes to HR they can say
a) he let me stay here (you), you know about this.. you didn't report.. you're also accomplice..
b) If he slips, falls, assault, gets sick and hey, if he dies... then you're really F-ed on insurance
c) we had to fire people who doing the hokey pokey after hours at work, we had people stealing toilet paper (not joking - had 2 or 3 chats an eventually had to fire), and the worse part was stealing computer products to make a buck... Took mice / monitors / then PCs / older laptops etc...
No ones wants to go down that rabbit hole and being investigated why IT is losing PCs, and why inventory is going down. (We had someone who used these)
We started seeing increase of 200% on consumption, turns out a dude was opening 50 of these each day and eating cereal since they took away milk and 2% in carton. I know...
I just don't want to get in trouble and lose my job - you mean you knew about this for a year and was reported and you didn't do anything? F-ed that would suck if that's on my file.
The chick complaining, just ignore and revoke. The dude, give him a heads up etc...
