Kokuho (国宝, Kokuhō; lit. 'National Treasure') is a 2025 Japanese historical drama; with so much hype. It's beautifully shot, follows the acting of kabuki -(400-year-old classical Japanese performing art combining highly stylized drama, traditional dance, and elaborate, colorful costumes)
It's a 3 hour long movie - going thru ups and down of 2 gents and ther acting journey. That's the best way to put it. Family honor, traditions, rivals etc. It was beautifully done, but would I say it's the best film for 2025, not really.
