There are other channels to buy refurbished units as well. Bauer Systems here in Ontario is a good example. I didn't buy an Apple product, but rather, found a really good deal on a refurbished Microsoft Surface with an i7 and 32GB RAM - exactly what I needed, and for a very competitive price. (Thanks for roastpuff for recommending Bauer Systems.)

if ur looking at that list and don't know how to pick...
1) avoid any Thinkpad L or E series
2) avoid any intel CPUs below 12xx
3) for any thinkpads, assume they have the dimmest 1080P screen available
