Retiring in Vancouver is for the ultra rich only, even middle class should heavily consider moving elsewhere when they retire.
Why spend "60k/yr" for a good retirement, when you can spend equivalent 20k in many other countries. Or keep that same 60k spend, to live like the 1% in other countries.
Or go full boomer, and live permanently on a cruise ship, being in a different country every week for the rest of your life.
