Random insight over dinner this week with the remaining single or early stage dating friends.

$60-150/week for dinner
$50-150/week for drinks / dessert
$50/week for activities, concerts, raves, misc, flowers, random gifts, cards

$8,320 to 18,200 a year

plus vacations, birthdays, larger gifts, most cover flights or hotels, few cover all, fewer split 50/50

which is $3-10K/year

it just clicked in my head that almost all the guys that dated girls I've dated have spent that much but also all my friends also spend that much. we are all the reasons why the dating expectations have gone wayyyyy up lol

we all have top 5-10% jobs + 2nd jobs/businesses, average joe schmoe is cooked at late 20s
