Also saw on your flicker, img 8321 and 8324 with the reverse 50mm 1.4 that is a lovely macro. Do you hand hole the lens then since its reverse?

Correct. They sell rev adapters on ebay for 10-20$ that let you actually mount it into the camera. It's cheap, I might pick some up. I'm also thinking of doing a group buy, just a thought

yes, black cars ARE really hard to shoot! Which is why I still dont have any good pics of my car
That second to last one is PERFECT, except for that little set of headlights at the end of the bridge!

you can clone it out can you? its amazing how he was able to get a near empty bridge for this shoot. Its usually packed when I drive on it.. unless this was shoot early morning.

*taps the nose* It was really early (5:30-6:00), but there were still tons of cars on the road. I was lucky to get no cars on our last run though!

What focal length are you using to shoot those moving car pics? Do you need to use something like a 70-200 lens or will something like a 17-55 cut it?

depends on the look you want. If you want more of a side profile, a 17-55 would be perfect. If you want the car far back where all you can see is the front of the car, the a long lens would work better.
I'm generally fairly close to the cars when I do rolling shots

I use a wide angle lens 100% because hanging out the side of a window with a long lens trying to shoot at 1/50th @ 100mm-200mm is tough!

I'am usually on the road to work around 6:00am, and there has been some beautiful drives. With the sun coming up behind the cascades, you get to see some amazing colours and silhouettes of the mountains.
I see those beautiful colours in the 2nd last photo. It contrasts well with the black colour car.
Well done!
