spo will make the proper adjustments like he always does.
Heat should be fine, they seem to always be down every series they are in.
Ill only be worried when spurs have 3 wins.
ya think that Chalmers is going to be placed on Tony again in game 2?
remember what LeBron did to D Rose the other year, and you think he can't do it to Parker ?
also LeBron finally makes the cover of a basketball video game

LeBron will not be guarding Parker all game to shut him down because he's gonna be worn out physically and not have as much of an effect on the offensive side and Miami clearly needs him more in that aspect.
Parker will wear him out cause he's gonna have to fight through screens and cuts almost every possession. LeBron without a doubt will be on him in the fourth, or when the game comes down to the wire, like in G1. And as good defensively as he is, he rarely rarely ever guards the best guard/forward the whole game. Wade normally does that.
BTW, LeBron even admitted post game he wanted to sit at the beginning of the fourth cause he was drained from the boxing out and defensive rebounding
^ yea they were tired...
James was tired from constantly throwing his body around crashing the boards, not from getting screened that's why he wanted that rest... but I mean it's LeBron, have we ever seen him get worn down from screens? it's not some 6'2 190 lb point guard we talking here....he was smashing through everyone in Game one like a bully, there is only one guy with enough bulk on the Spurs roster that can screen LeBron hard and he's benched, Blair.... Tiago and Duncan set really "nice lookin" screens because they roll and slip so well. Bulls had much bigger stronger guys setting really hard screens on LeBron and he still was able to control Rose..
Think in game 2 LeBron eases up on board crashing and lets his big men pick up the slack in that department as they should, think Joel Anthony should get more play to help out with that, he got a few solid rebounds in those few mins he played... Battier should remain benched to give the extra Heat bigs more minutes, Allen can run if he keeps shootin like that, and keep feedin Wade the ball in nice proper spots where he can attack like they did gm1, not somewhere where he would have to pull a 2006 D-Wade move out of his ass to get a hoop.... Bosh needs to hit the block, I haven't seen a solid manly rebound from him for a while, go back to his basics of that and hitting that 17 footer, quit hangin out at the 3 point line for fcks sake
And I agree like you said Wade most likely on Parker and LeBron in the 4th, but I have no doubt in my mind that if LeBron were to cover Parker all game all series long, this series would not even be close.

I pointed out the last post-game conference part because it does say something about LeBron. He DOES get tired, which is a good thing for SA. Even if he is able to bull through screens, it still takes significantly more out of him than guarding someone else that doesn't have the ball every single possession.
Putting LeBron on Parker seems like the easiest solution and the first thing to try, but Wade has to be prepared to takeover offensively. LeBron shutting down Rose was definitely a thing of beauty, but compared to Parker they play differently. Rose was willing to take LeBron off the dribble (and failed) because he's used to having defenders that are slower, and weaker. In that series, LeBron showed his lateral quickness and stayed in front of him, trapping him in the corners, leaving him with no choice and no separation and then having to chuck up terrible shots. Rose will ISO all day, Parker will punish LeBron with screens, that's the bottom line
Parker isn't the type to play ISO hero ball, he won't force the offense, instead he'll make one or two moves and be stopped probably 60% of the time, back off and then call for a pick and slowly wear him out. LeBron guarded Parker in the 07 Finals, remember that? Parker was able to make those outside shots consistently so LeBron had to respect him and give him less room, then Parker was able to drive past LeBron. This WILL happen again, but ONLY IF LeBron gets no help and has to carry the offensive like he did against Indiana. IMO guarding Parker comes down to a team effort, they'll run as many fucking screens as they want/run pick n roll's all day and they'll get good looks. IIRC Spurs missed like half a dozen wide open 3s in G1. If they can make those too.. it won't be as close as it was last game. If you can make the Miami D run all over the place, have a good presence down low, you can win.
It'll be a huge mistake if LeBron is on Parker the whole game
One more thing, from what I saw in G1, Spurs didn't really give a shit on the offensive glass as much as they normally do because they're trying to hustle back on defense...
EDIT:
TLDR;
put LeBron on Parker the whole game
LeBron will get drained out, leading to less of an impact on the offensive end
I just don't agree bro, I know there are factors involved and I think that's what is pushing you into your conclusion and I see your points, but to me the game is simple, I don't like over analyzing personally.
bottom line is I just don't think it's a mistake to put the world's best defender on the on the other team's best player, and when I say best player I mean the guy who literally makes everything work on that team like clockwork.
Only way I would probably (maybe) side with you, is if it was a different type of player, a pure scorer like Durant or Melo.... but Parker a guy who is responsible for, shit, I dunno most almost all of the Spurs offense in one way or another, guy like that... no
I think they have a light practice today, I assume a walk through tomorrow and gameday on Sunday so both teams should be fairly well rested. We'll get a much better sense of what Miami's plans are for Parker in gm 2, I'm very eager to find out

yea I hear ya bro, I most times base it on what I think should be done based on my knowledge of the game, maybe a bit arrogant, but I do know the game and it's players well (especially when criticizing certain coaches like Negro, Spoelstra, etc) and at other times I let my biased view get the best of me for example me being a Clippers fan picking some of their players then losing that bet to Bballguy
whatever keeps the basketball discussion brewing though, whether here or with my friends out when we ballin or hangin

The Spurs system is so smooth, the passing is beautiful! The Miami D were scrambling all over the place, Leonard & Green missed a whole bunch of wide, wide open 3s. If they can start draining those, GG.
