Deng pickup was utterly pointless, why not just let Ingram and Randle finally develop properly now that the Kobe show is over? If he's here to mentor them then that's different, but if he's being used to clog the starting spot on this non-contending team, what a waste.
Network deal is continuously raising the salary cap in the next few years; you have to look at these numbers and factor in inflation. Also DeMar took less than the max he was eligible to receive which was the Mike Conley 153mil/5 years. Although I do agree Mike Conley receiving the max is ridiculous.
Salary cap went up and teams have to spend min 90% of the cap, cant compare nhl money to nba money, the exposure and boardcasting revenue are on completely different scale.

The Salary Cap for next season went up so much due to the NETWORK TV DEAL and the sale of the Clippers for 2 Billion. Danny Ainge was saying just divide by 2 to fit the new salaries for last years cap and the money giving out this summer doesn't seem soo crazy.
Conley got 30.6 million a year in this new cap divide by 2 he would've been making 15.3 in the old cap.
