I was looking at that thing but wasn't sure about it since I didn't think I can lift it. Maybe I'll see if I can pick one up cheap after season.
It's not bad at all, most of the time I'm just pushing it up to a wall or some area to dump it off so I don't have to lift it all, I just tilt it forward. When I do lift I just do a knee lift (like an ugly soccer kick) and it does the trick.
It paid for itself on the first day of use considering my desk job calibre back didn't hurt anymore.
Car was absolutely covered this morning. I was 3.5 hours late for work cause I got stuck and couldn't power out lol. The snow on the hood was almost as tall as the roofline of the car. I have staggered cement blocks after the steps to my place, it's like it doesn't exist. I first attempted at 6:30am. Didn't finish clearing the driveway and being able to get out until 9:00am lol.
This was a cool pic I took, but it was really not intentional and I was stuck like that.
This is how far I got. Even tried putting down gravel and cardboard LOL. It just swung left and right.
Here's how much snow. It was like shovel height. I estimate 8-9"

As expected, all the surrounding buildings shoveled the snow from the sidewalks on to the curb of the road which is now blocking every storm drain on the block. I'm staring at the intersection and its like a swimming pool. Water has nowhere to go.. I know where the drain is outside my building so I'll have to try and find it with my foot tonight when I take the dog out.
I bought an Ego snowblower back in summer when it went on sale at Ronas.
Friend thought I was crazy... but I told him between all the sidewalks and driveway that I have to cover, I'm already going light when some of my old-timer neighbors got the rider type snowblower.
And god was I glad to have that thing. I cleared my driveway and sidewalks before heading out today in under 20min... it's easily a 2hr work if I had to shovel my way out and the sidewalk given how deep and sticky was today's snow.
I bought one from princess auto cause it was on sale. If I had to pay retail. I wouldn't think it's worth it.

It's great for blasting snow out of your property, but only if you have no regard for just moving the snow into the street or into your neighbour's yard.
As well, all it can do is spray snow directly forward, meaning they are absolutely useless for sidewalks... unless once again, you don't mind blasting snow into your neighbour's area.
I would imagine they would be more useful for people that live outside of the city where they have a huge yard, so they can just blast the snow from the common areas to lesser walked areas within their own property.

I bought mine at a pretty good price too as it was on sale. I thought of maybe selling mines, but I haven't fully made up my mind yet.
How do you like yours? Maybe there's a better technique and I'm not using mine correctly, but I find it's impossible to control where the snow gets displaced. It just shoots out at a 15 ft high arc.

i was able to source a carburetor for our 2-stroke snow blower.... after the dump came and left haha. It does clear slushy snow but clogs up the chute easily
Cool, more snow this morning. If I never seen snow again for the rest of my life I'd be quite happy with that outcome. I moved out of the prairies to get away from it but here it is.

A) you don’t know what you’re doing
B) you just have some shit luck

Running my all terrain Falken AT3Ws on my F150 all year around. They have the 3 peak snowflake symbol but it's amazing how shitty my truck feels in 2 wheel drive with an empty bed VS 4x4 when conditions get really slippery. It goes from feeling like a Mustang to absolutely no problem.
only want the snow to melt enough that city comes to collect the 3 weeks worth of garbage
then continue snowing
I posted about city not picking up my garbage last week. Wife calls city and complains, they sent a truck last night it only picked our garbage up, when it came to other overflowing bins in our culdesac, they just left them where they stood.
I guess if you don't call and complain you don't get your shit picked up, pretty dumb lol.
