FS: 2003 RSX type-s
231,000km, blue, 3rd owner.
The Good:
-Clutch, Full Brake job and Valve adjustment service done December 2009.
-Previous owner used this as a highway mileage commuter.(Frequent trips to Northern BC and Alberta)
-Oil Changes every 5000km.
-Almost new Yokohama S4 all-seasons(85-90%). Full set of Kumho I-Zen Wis winter tires(75-80%) also included.
-I can recall my good friend only getting 23miles per gallon on his RSX in the city. I've filled up 3 times so far and have gotten over 28miles per gallon each time, all spirited city clicks.
-Despite being relatively underpowered, girls still blush when this thing is driven hard.
-No visible rust.
The Bad:
-In 2005, the car rear ended someone and at the same time got hit from behind. The damage totaled to $8100. I have a record from a Carter dealership where this car was bought.
-Last week, I got the car back after I was backed into. The bill to ICBC was just over $3000. I was surprised how little damage could amount to so much. Nevertheless, no frame damage.
-The roofliner has a lot of scuffs and marks. It appears the previous owner was trying to move lumber and rebar through the hatch.
-The leather seats were not maintained at all so they look quite worn.
-The driver's seat had a bad split along the stitching when I bought it. I spent half an hour stitching it up so it should be good for a few more years.
-The paint has some minor chips and scratches. I bought some Acura touch-up paint but havent had the time to paint in the chips. Overall, the paint is acceptable.
-The suspension is still functional but some used coilovers on this RSX could turn this into a pretty decent ride.
I am asking $6500obo but am also interested in trades. I'm a sports car enthusiast looking for a slight upgrade but at the same time wouldnt mind the idea of a lifted Jeep, low c.c. sport bike, a cruiser or road bike.
