Should i buy a new or used iPad 2?

Looking to purchase a tablet to showcase my portfolio.

Already have an Android phone, so I decided to go iPad for the apps and different OS to play with.

Warranty important/ a must?

pre ordered 1 wifi and 1 4g lte (max 2 limit). people say the new ipad not good. but i don't know. might sell it later depends.

Name will be "The New Ipad2", same retina screen, 800mp camera, ios 6.0, 6 core CPU, slimmer, lighter, same no expansion slot, siri will support more language, 16gb, 32gb, 64gb will be offer. Price will be $499.

^ That's running Honeycomb not ICS which is faster. On paper the Tegra 3 should be about 2X as fast as an A5, however so far it's only testing about 1.5x as fast even with ICS. I think they need to come up with some better optimizations because it's not being utilized fully yet. And what good is a processor if the software isn't using all of it?

I bought a new one for my mom, who only wants it to facetime our relatives in New Zealand and Hong Kong and whatnot.

for myself as a tool though, my TF101 transformer will forever reign until Apple decides to implement a keyboard like it on the iPad.... and let me skip itunes

Why change it when it sells better then any other android tablet?

Looking at the specs its what people have leaked and what not so a lot of people are "wow"-ed by it, but look at it which tablet out there will have a better camera? better screen? yea I know android tab lets you do a whole bunch of stuff to it, root apps etc etc but ipad is for simple people who wanna play games, work and just have a "fun" device

this is coming from a guy who uses asus transformer, I love it but iPad is on a different playing field

Supposedly all the pre-orders are sold out on initial launch. The UK now has a waiting list of 2-3 weeks.

Btw, what's a good iPad case?

i like the ones that only covers the back and a litthe baggie..i find that othes that close can get a little bit annoying to hold

I use a neoprene sleeve and a Gelaskin on the back. Those "magic" covers are stupid

Actually I find the 'smart' cover pretty useful.

Agreed. The Apple smart cover is useful. It's certainly not protective that's not what I bought it for.

The new iPad is a pretty decent upgrade. Who cares if the speed boost isn't significant enough. The screen alone is going to be worth it. Once you switched to an iPhone with Retina Display, it's so hard to look at a lower res screen. I just looked at my friend's iPhone 3G and oh my god. No way.

bought my mom one of those bamboo cases but even though its close fitting it still seems too bulky

the smart covers far more appealing

think you're raving about the PPI rather than the resolution, quite a few devices have similar or greater PPI than the ipad2s

How many times have you looked at cell phones on display and thought "wow that screen looks great" only to realize it was a printed decal on the screen?

I bet the new iPad screen looks just like that - it'll look so good that people might think it's fake (decal) until they find out it's the actual screen.

The only good thing for the competition is that Apple displays in stores like Best Buy are separate from the other tablets. If you put it side-by-side with anything else, it would be like the 3G compared to the 4 (except even worse).
