I question why this thread is here but the Canucks/NHL thread is the off-topics.

Hoping GB hands out an ass kicking to the Lions tonight.

Come on second half.

Packers can't buy a decent offensive move right now.

Rodgers makes the Hail Mary throw for the winning TD! Lions choke LOL!

That face mask penalty was a dagger for Detroit lol. Where was the Lions defence in the end zone?

Comeback win of the season. This QB is clutch.

If you're Aaron Rodgers, you get to draw your own penalties

Rodgers' Hail Mary throw to Rodgers for the TD reminded me of Favre during his prime. Gun slinger!

Mad respect for Aaron Rodgers.

I had the Packers moneyline, thought that ticket was going to be bust. Been a good couple weeks on NCAA/NFL for me, hit a nice 3 game NCAA point spread parlay last week and 7 game NCAA/NFL moneyline parlay this week. Missed a 2nd ticket this week, $20 NCAA point spread ticket by 1 game, Bama -17.

Started the NCAA/NFL season with a $300 deposit, I'm up over $4,500 so far.

Skipped a Ravens AND a Seahawks game for the first time in 3 years.... And it was against each other. I was really looking forward to it before the season started, but I just can't bear to watch. It's just sad and ugly.

Instead I watched parts of various games, including the Steelers ripping it up, Eagles holding onto a win, and Johnny Manziel actually looking quite good - albeit against the 49ers... He reminds me of Russ

It was awesome to cheer the underdog Raiders to a win, as ugly as it was. That was a pretty exciting game!

About to skim the Patriots/Texans game and see if it's any good

So the Vikes play the Giants next week with a chance to clinch a wild card birth. Is it bad to hope Goodell comes through and suspends Odell?

Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly Being Considered for 1-Game Suspension by NFL | Bleacher Report

Quote:
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. may be suspended for a game after his illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman and his actions throughout Sunday's game, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com:

Actually, they should suspend the team of refs ... they let it get out of hand. #13 should have been ejected after the helmet spear ... penalty exacted, issue solved.

As a former NHL fan I am blown away at how incompetent the refs are in the NFL. Just a bunch of geeks with whistles that barely know the rules, let alone manage the actual players

I was trying to figure out why the Vikings hadn't clinched when in theory the only team that could even tie them was Atlanta who they already beat.

Basically The Vikings would have to lose there last 2, Seattle would have to lose there last 2 and Atlanta would have to win there last 2 creating a 3 way tie. The tiebreaker rules are different for 3 teams then 2, Minny would be out.......pretty confident that won't happen and if it did all I could do is laugh.

Not sure what there is to appeal... If anything they should suspend Norman for a game too.

They both should have been ejected right away

They should have done something for sure.

It looks like Norman got fined.

Carolina Panthers CB Josh Norman fined more than $26,000 in Odell Beckham melee, sources says

Quote:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman has been fined a combined $26,044 for two offenses in Sunday's win over the New York Giants, according to sources.

Norman was fined $8,681 for a face-mask incident and $17,363 for striking Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the head and neck area. ESPN contributor Jarrett Bell of USA Today Sports first reported the fines.

Norman was called for two personal foul penalties in the 38-35 Panthers win. Beckham was called for three, including a helmet-to-helmet shot at Norman, and was suspended for one game.

Beckham reportedly is appealing his suspension Wednesday. Norman has also appealed.

On ESPN's Mike & Mike radio show, Norman said: "The crazy part about all the unsportsmanlike conducts, I was just trying to be myself at the end of the day. I know one of those plays, I was in Cover 2, I was just jamming the man inside of the play and I got a personal foul called against me. And that was in the confines of the play, within the whistle.

"That wasn't after the whistle, that was within the whistle. ... They're probably going to send me something about that ... but I'm going to appeal it, and I'm going to get my justified case about the whole situation.

"I just pretty much showed people what this guy [Beckham] really is and what he stands for. I just don't feel like that's a part of the game that should be played. If you want to play, let's play it straight up, let's do it the right way."

What an ugly game for the Seahawks, came out totally flat and the oline was a disaster again. Only good thing about the game was the hilarity between Hekker vs Avril and Bennett, the cheap shot by Hekker then him cowering like a little girl Rams punter dishes out cheap shot, cowers in fear when Seahawks retaliate - SBNation.com
