I just submitted a claim (I do have the extended warranty) for accidental damage by calling into OP.
Deductible aside, the process couldn't have been easier. In 15 mins the lady on the phone took my information and arranged to have a replacement phone shipped out. 10 mins after that I receive a tracking number from FedEx.
For those wondering, it looks like I'll be getting a refurb version of the phone I originally bought a year ago. Will report back when I receive the package in 1-3BDs, but if I get a new charger as well that would be a small bonus.
Do they do advance replacements? Where you get the new phone first, then send in the broken one?
How much was plan, and how much is deductible? No maximum # of claims?
Yup replacement is 1-3BDs and said replacement comes with prepaid shipping materials to ship your bad phone out.
IIRC the plan needed to be purchased at the same time as the phone. It was ~$120 IIRC for 2 years, and the deductable is a touch over $100. Maximum 2 accidental claims per 2 year period.
Given how much negativity I heard towards OP and their RMA process, I'm going to guess that getting the extended plan affords you with quicker service. I'm supposed to get my replacement tomorrow, whereas some people said the RMA process took weeks if not months.

Thanks for the info.
I bought 3 devices from OP so far and thankfully have never had to RMA anything, but yes, I definitely considered it for the 3T. Maybe next phone I will, if the 3rd party insurance provider is much easier to deal with. Thanks for the info!

Just to update the process:
I received my replacement not too long ago. It was just UNDER 24hrs from filing claim to receiving replacement. The replacement was a brand new shrink-wrapped unit. So far so good in terms of not getting a lemon! Overall I think the extended plan has been worth it even with the higher than Apple deductible.
Good price, decent camera... my nexus 6p is lasting 1.5 hours now and shutting down at 40%, i need a replacement... I don't have a 1200 to blow on a phone... one plus 5 128GB will need to do.
Split screen works well on my 3T. Standard android split screen fare.
I guess the only annoying thing about OxygenOS is that today it sent me a push notification about the OP5 lol. A taaad sketchy but it was the first one ever, I let it slide.
The alert-slider is a fucking God-send. Should be standard on every phone.
yeah that's true! I am using an iphone6 right now but am surprised with how a lot of manufactures are stepping up their game and apple now seems to be playing catch up. I for one am done with buying ridiculous prices for an iphone and going to make the switch to android but yeah that's me.
Received my OnePlus5 yesterday, pretty happy so far. But the Bumper Case is terrible. Can hardly move the slider since its so recessed with the case on.

Holy shit that was fast.
What was your last phone? How does it compare?
by the looks with all the reviews on youtube the oneplus5 is super fast! I am going to need to replace my iphone6 asap so this will be my new phone! Cant afford to be buying 1200-1400 iphones lol
