Thing is, I use my phone everywhere and we go to the cabin, island, etc quite a bit
Since I was already back up at 95 it wasn't a big deal to do the shared plan paying 90
If I never went anywhere id switch to wind and buy the phone outright but even with my telus work phone sometimes it's reception isn't good enough. Rogers for me for now

talked to retentions again today and they are really standing firm on the "no waiving" of previous device balance and the min $80 plan to get HUP.
so right now, im paying $68 tax in for
unl canada wide, 6GB data, iphone value pack
and my gf is paying
$88 tax in for
200 daytime
unl eve/wknds
my 10 canada wide
6gb data
iphone value pack
they offered us the following shareable plan
$95 for
unlimted canada wide calling
iphone value pack
8 gb shareable data
+$55 for adding my gf's line.
still debating on whether or not to go with this plan.
68+88=156
95+55=150
sorry but for you to save 6$ per month for a much less plan is not worth it to me. even say you don't go through that much data, to save 6$ is not worth it.
if you are not all about the latest and greatest, your plans hold much more leverage in the future. you will never get your 68$/mo back ever again if you give this up.
i say this over and over again, unless you are getting a stellar plan for this HUP, just save up and buy the phone out right. you save a lot more money on the long run with your cheaper plan.

there was some debate if 6GB plans are worth it or not
most of us work/live in areas with wifi and that's where majority of streaming is done, thus it's not really necessary unless you're driver or work outdoors?
6gb for $30 was previously offered. People are still trying to grandfather it. You would be a fool not pay take this deal.

If it's for leisure purposes and you already have wifi at home and whereever else, do you really find the need to pay THAT much? 80+ dollars a month just so u can surf youtube or whatever when you're not on wifi?
Im going to get on my soapbox and ask you why is Data even restricted? What's with all 3 carries and their confusion about 500mb 1gb 3gb..etc plans.
I believe unrestricted unlimited high speed data should be a right for every Canadian citizen. At the very least OFFER an option for unlimited like they do in the states.
Unlimited calling, unlimited text, international calling etc use to cost a lot. Now its practically free. These telecom companies are throttling their services to you. Their delaying the inevitable.
Pack up and switch right? To who? A smaller company whos reception can be shotty at times.
Effing monopoly I tell u.
Has anyone gotten Rogers to waive the HUP fee? Somehow I don't think its possible anymore.
my last 3 phones i've had it waived, from $100 to $220
It sounded that now, even through retentions the best you can do if you have over 6 months remaining on your contract is give you 100% value up to $100 of your monthly bill

The thing I'm most excited for if true is the battery life! Better battery use in an iPhone I hate to say it is a big step and a huge plus in the right direction. My old iphone5 was terrible and my current nexus 5 I get about a days worth! And with him saying he gets a day and a half with heavy use that's pretty awesome ...

There will always be some good and some bad, all depends how you store and charge your phone in addition, if it's defective. I would say it's okay to go through one day with normal to heavy usage, since it'll be charge overnight. If I go anywhere without a power outlet, like camping, I would bring two of my extra batteries with me, one being one of those huge one from ebay.
I've had the S2, S3, S4 (twice) and now HTC One (being the worst one), none with severe battery problems. As long as you know how to keep your phone free from apps that run background ads, your phone should be good.
My friend has an S5 and he's always downloading shit like ebaum, utorrent, liveleak, those stupid battery saving apps, shit that he doesn't use. I've tried diagnosing his phone and can't even rule out what the number draining issue was tied to which app. So sad that a nice phone is being treated like that.
