are people still selling their Iphone 6's for above retail? I've run out of space on my 5S 16gb and am considering a 6 64gb... should I just order from apple and wait?

Woke up this morning with my iPhone 5 off and burning hot. It overheated and no longer works. It was to a point that the two camera lenses had sweat marks inside and when I took out the sim it was wet. Yesterday evening I updated to ios 8.0.2. Not going to point fingers but that's a pretty damn big coincidence.
I always keep my GPS location off, find my iphone disabled, bluetooth off, the only thing that was on last night was maybe wifi and cell reception. It was plugged in over night.
I guess we'll see what Apple says. Heads up to keep an eye out for overheating so nobody's phone explodes next to their head at night like mine almost did.

Reason: added type of iphone
^ Wait, so you had condensation on the camera lenses and your SIM card was wet? Wet from what? Maybe the iOS 8.0.2 download was contaminated with water?

I'm sorry but there's no way that's the phone's fault. The device has no liquid inside it to "sweat". If there's condensation, the device has been in liquid of some sort.
The only possible way is if he had a humidifier blowing all night in an enclosed room...maybe that may do something, but then again, that's not the phone's fault.
Maybe you sneezed very violently right into an open port while sleeping or something lol.
my mom's iphone 5 on the recently updated firmware also overheated and stopped working.. went into apple and they told us it was a battery problem and there was a recall from sept 2012 to jan 2013.. so the replacement battery is free..
um guys, the battery, when overcharged/over discharged will vent gas along with liquid... he mentioned the phone was charging the whole night, so most likely the battery got over charged and outgassed/vented/exploded thus the overheat/hot and liquid
r u using an oem charger or aftermarket charger?

Just add a micro SD card for more space.
Oh wait...

Feel free to speculate but that's what it looked like. I realize water seems ridiculous and there's no water for my phone to sweat but that's the way it went down. I actually thought it was battery acid at first. Always using OEM charger and the tip had burn marks on it. I took the phone and charger to an Apple Genius that immediately said he will order me a new phone (none in stock atm). The water indicator was still white - if you are curious where its located its easily visible in the slot when you take your SIM out. By the way my phone was out of warranty for like 2 years so this is a huge score for me.
point is keep an eye on your phones and know this is happening
there are reports that 8.0.2 has a major bug with calling already so i don't understand why people would update.
Absolutely no issues here with 8.0.2 on my end.
I used my phone lightly yesterday because I was so busy, but I still had roughly 80% battery around 8pm. 20% battery over 12 hours of use is pretty damn good.
has anyone had any luck getting their lightning cables replaced under warranty? The apple warranty states that they cover accessories:
Quote:
Apple-branded iPhone, iPad or iPod hardware product and accessories contained in the original packaging (“Apple Product”) against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Apple's published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser ("Warranty Period").
