I see one parked at work often, never got to speak to the owner
but if I had that immaculate Zanardi it'd be 2% summer cruise and 98% garage queen
hats off to anyone who puts their high-end sports cars on the circuit...hope you have good insurance for track days.
Is there any insurance company willing to insure for track? I heard they might insure you if you go through approved driver training school with your car.
I'd feel much safer on a closed course with any car rather than on the street. At least on the track, if something happens, it's most likely the fault of the driver or a mechanical error. The thought of some jerk-off crashing into me because they are not paying attention is the #1 fear for most that cherish their car.
I understand values of the NSX has increased over time, but when I had my NSX, it was my daily driver
The local NSX club in my area (I was living in San Jose at the time) had numerous group track days together, quite often. I never had the opportunity to track my NSX when I owned it, but I would have, at least once.
^^ with the very rare "5 ever built cars" i absolutely agree with garage queening them. but as long as a few museums have pristine examples of rare cars (for history's sake) then i see no reason the rest shouldnt be driven and enjoyed. thats where a Jay Leno comes into play (large collection, might not be driven often but its not from the lack of want)

^^They probably just haven't found a clean enough example to acquire. As a Honda head, this place and the secret Honda museum in Cali are bucket list destinations for me. Invite only to either though as they are not open to open to the public.
