Did they need to do that race? It’s obvious which one will win.
I know which one I’d rather hear and be seen in/look at in my driveway though lol
The lambo is just a glorified Audi and looks like every other SUV. They Cybertruck on the other hand will stand out anywhere you go. If you want to show off the cybertruck is the way to go.
When I was growing up the import scene was all about drag racing in North America.

That carwow guy is such a "wanker". I don't know who irritates me more, him or Doug Demuro.
I can't be the only one who feels this way.

That's a result of him being a YouTube personality and adapting to appease the audience/algorithm. I still remember when he first appeared as a CarBuyer reviewer on YouTube when video car reviews were still in their heyday - he was a lot more toned down back then. See this review is from August 2010 as an example:
He's come a long way and I respect him for staying relevant after all these years in the business. I also agree that it's no longer the kind of car content I enjoy on YouTube.

Dude you're drinking that kool-aid so hard... cybertruck isn't showing off, it's just getting noticed for being fuckin ugly and new. Maybe if you're some new money wanna-be then yah that's getting noticed I guess.
At least the Lambo has class and it does not look like every other SUV on the road. I don't even like SUV's in any way, but it's certainly got its own look.
It's true that drag racing is a cool scene, but putting a pedal to the floor and waiting isn't drag racing. What's racing about planting your foot? Are you shifting gears? Are you slipping a clutch trying to launch in a happy spot between grip and putting power down?
Is there any skill or driver's edge involved whatsoever?
I mean, you bought a GR Corolla for a reason. Would you trade it for a Model 3 because the Model 3 can do a faster 1/4 mile while you yawn and look at your wristwatch?
I agree with everything except for the looks of the Lambo. The Urinal is pretty ugly and I genuinely can't understand the mindset needed to buy one. Like I can't imagine telling friends about my new Lamborghini and when they see it it's just an SUV.

I own 2 manual cars for a reason. Most people who buy supercars and high-end SUV's do it to show off. Most Lambo's will never see any track time. Some people consider cars art and art is supposed to be controversial. You park a cybertruck next to any vehicle and the cybertruck will steal the show.

It ain't gonna age well... do that a year from now and it will just attract middle fingers and contemptuous eyerolls. The types of people who buy it are going to ruin the image of it.

Rumour is they are building other cars based on the same design/manufacturing process. Including the buget car they have been working on.

Well.. I mean I hope so, they aren't gonna make any money off this thing in the volumes they'll be able to produce / number of customers who will actually buy it for the price being asked ($150 deposit is meaningless).
It should have always been intended as a platform share of some sort!

They will be making 250K units a year. I think they will sell a ton of them but that's just my guess. They have a 1000 limited edition fully loaded ones right now that they are selling for 120K US.

How many people in todays' economy you think have $80k USD *base price* hanging around to buy an electric truck with?
They are not going to make 250,000 of these a year. Which, I will give credit where credit is due, is at least WAY down from the 400,000 Elon said last month lol
Feel free to circle back to this post if it ever happens and mock me gratuitously.

The single motor is less and Tesla prices do change over time.

Actually for the smart Americans they might, according to their numbers their economy is doing much better than us, since they have 30y mortgage literally no one is worried about their mortgage unless they just bought or is maturing soon. Also their money is worth at least 30% more than ours so they can ball out up here. Somehow the tables have still turnt.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

woah woah woah, you did not just compare this moving refrigeration unit to a lambo. In the days of EV's when a fantuan/uber eats model 3 dusts most sports cars from the past 20-30 years, 0-60 doesnt matter anymore.
First of all, does your fridge reak of prostitutes and cocaine? NO!? then youre not in the league of lambro's
Secondly, does your mere rolling presence economically dominate those around you? NO!? then youre not a lambro
Thirdly, and most importantly, does it catch fire.... uhhh yeah okay, you might have a point there
