I did. Even showed her the post and we went on discussing how young kids nowadays have a very different focus than when we were in college.

Not so much for Chinese. Plus, CT is a "show-off-able" material for their circle in China since it's not exactly available unless you are ready to fork about 400k and don't mind out of province plate. In pure absolute numbers, knowing someone to have one is rarer than say a McLaren in China.
