I'd have to disagree ... SOG is only one stat, gotta see the flow of the game.
Last night, Oilers had a 2-0 lead early. Then in the third, a 3-2 lead ... and lost 4-3.
Prev game (game 3), Chasing all game, down 0-2 in the first. Oilers went up 3-2 in the 2nd. Can't lock down a lead, the dam breaks and they are down 5-3 and lose 7-4 (one EN).
Not sure how you don't think they need a more solid goaltender. Same with Skinner ... stats wise, doesn't look bad but it's the inopportune times for the goals. It's obvious to me that the team doesn't have confidence playing in front of their goalie.
