Got LaCie 1tb External hard drive (ps3 question)
so i got a 1tb external USB hard drive for my laptop to back up picture files and store some movies and i formated it with NTFS format, not FAT32(which ps3 recognizes)
i know i can probably connect it to my ps3 and manually open movies like i do when i watch movies directly off my ipod thru the ps3.
but to my question, now that i pretty much have 1TB of space, can i download blueray movie torrents and put them on my harddrive then run them through the ps3 to watch it on my 1080p tv. or am i fucked....id prefer to not have to convert files. but im getting bored of watching regular DVDrips on my 50" tv and the quality isnt horrible, but it is a little more blocky than a regular DVD being watched on my ps3...

using mkb2vob only takes a few minutes(literally) to "convert" a blu-ray rip to watch on the ps3
and i thought the ps3 was supposed to be able to play mkv files sometime soon via an update since many new players are adding that feature
