At first I thought the size and weight might be an issue, but I got used to it just as fast as the 70-200 2.8 IS, and its not a problem at all now even at 8lbs lens and body.

Here's my first attempt at this stuff, please feel free to pick apart/dissect my stuff, I'd like/need all the tips I can get since this is my first shot at using anything that takes nicer pictures than a waterproof point and shoot pentax (I know the lens needs a little cleanup  ) Any tips for post-production adjustments would be appreciated as well, never done much with photoshop/GIMP
First shot I took with my D40X
Two others I think turned out OK
(at dusk in a moving boat, not sure why I like this one)

That's a great photo Jason! I like the composition of it! Great colors too. Everything looks so blue, maybe its just my monitor. Also, maybe some more contrast. Bad bad ass setup that is!

Thanks. Yup, everything is blue - it's the light. Notice the white band on the bicyclist's pants is perfectly white.
