The Crystal Mall place is horrible. They served their XLB in a plastic takeout box, and even though I started eating them as soon as it was served to me, the XLB were already lukewarm -- probably because of the transferring from the steam basket to the takeout box. The skin of the XLB were also pretty thick.
According to some foodie FB group post I saw, the Richmond place seems to be staffed by the same people as before though when it was still Long's Noodle House. I haven't been there yet since the ownership changed, so I can't speak to how good or bad it is now.

What a coincidence.
I was just at Hao Chi Lai the other day and thought it was good. I also saw Shanghai Lao wei dao and was about to give it a try but didn't know anything about them.
Guess I'll have to go back.
I still find Baiyulan having some of the best XLBs locally.
Traum is right about the crystal mall place. Other people were saying how good it is but I thought the skin was hard/thick and didn't find it particularly tasty. I was eating in too so there wasn't even an excuse.

So yesterday at the horse track this chick and her “photographer” walk up into the grandstands and proceed to have a 10 minute photo shoot in front of everyone trying to watch the races… she was like a 3/10 wearing like some weird belly shirt Mexico club wear taking shots literally where everyone is trying to watch the race…
Eventually people started just calling her out and intentionally getting in her photos because it just kept going and going and going, like every single group there young and old were all like wtf.. this isn’t the place for your BS.. it was so weird..

It’s pissing rain and everyone is under cover so she is right in the direct view of everyone watching the race. It was ok for the first few minutes but when it went 8-10 people had had enough.
